Life Fitness Treadmill : How to Use a Treadmill for Beginners

Life Fitness Treadmill. The good thing about working out on a treadmill is that you can go at your own pace and build up as quickly or as slowly as you want to.
  1. Familiarize yourself with the speed controls, program options and other controls on the treadmill.
  2. Press "Quick Start" to begin slowly walking.In your own time, increase you speed to where you feel comfortable by pressing the up arrow on the speed control.
  3. Increase the incline slightly, but make sure you're not straining yourself.
  4. Walk at your own pace for at least 20 minutes, then press "Pause" to slow the machine down.
  5. When you've finished your workout, clean the machine off for the next person to use.
